The speed at which technology is evolving can be overwhelming at times. With new developments in digital, messaging, and social apps, keeping up with the latest and greatest can sometimes feel like a full-time job. It is vital, however, for marketers to be abreast of which digital tools are best for marketing your business, and in which way they can help you in your messaging.

There is no doubt that the future of marketing is connected and online. According to a report by Simon Kemp and his analysis on DataReportal, two out of three people will be online by the end of 2023 and this online population will be almost as big as the global TV audience which stands at 5.41 billion. In addition, the typical user spends more than 40% of their waking hours on the Internet.

According to a study by Accenture, social shopping, or social commerce, is expected to reach $1.2 trillion globally by 2025 — a growth that’s three times faster than traditional ecommerce. The ultimate goal would be to enable customer payments without leaving social media apps, creating a seamless customer experience. Gen Z and Millennials are predicted to be the biggest spenders as they will account for 62 percent of global social ecommerce revenue by 2025.
